Daniel Dida
In this project the author is linking two professions which he is engaged in: he works as an artist but concurrently also as a barista. In his project for Small/Big World he uses the café setting as an optic for the observation and recognition of a community. The central object is a table, which is, however, the only one, intended for all the visitors of a pop-up café. It will be on the premises of the exhibition, personally manned by the author every Thursday between 2 pm and 7 pm from June 7 to June 30. This table functions as an appointment book. The author uses the specific situation as an opportunity for communication with the visitors, using a previously prepared plan. The format of the cafe aspires to be an attraction while at the same time serving as a platform for communication.
